Have you had a date for the second meeting yet, If my meeting had been 3 weeks earlier my orginal proposal would have been accepted at 23p in the pound. But Northern Rock had changed the policy to only accepting 45p in the pound which is when my problems had begun as stated in my previous post. The only clause was that i had to obtain 2 valuation reports within 6 months after the IVA apporval and the equity was to be used in my 4th year i was told by synergi to count myself lucky as a new creditors was asking for a valuation report to be conducted in the 4th year and the equity gained was to be used. My budget is so tight that every pound has to be counted, my family are now living below national limit so i am not sure if the IVA was right for me and i am too backcrupcy

Guys

If any of you have a real complaint about the level of service you have received from an Insolvency Practitioner, you can make a complaint by writing to their regulatory body who will investigate matters on your behalf.

If the complaint is upheld, it may stop people in the future falling foul of malpractice within my profession. I can provide details of the regulatory bodies if anyone needs this.

Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner for over 20 years.

I used the Debt Counsellors located in Borehamwood. They sent me the I&E to fill in. No money was requested at that time. They passed it on the IP case manager and a draft was made. No money requested at this time. After reading Kez and Coco's posts, I am abit nervous. IF my hubby and I get the IVA rejected will/can they bill us the Nominee fee? It does say in the draft we will owe nominee and supervisor fees if the IVA is successful. So, if we loose, we do NOT pay. Correct?

Thank you all for answering.
