I like old fashioned Beechams Powders, whether I've got a cold or not...I do try to resist though x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

It's as simple as lots of fluid, rest & Paracetamol and or ibuprofen. No need for expensive brand names they don't actually work that much better. Think of a famous warm lemon drink is it actually better than Paracetamol & a warm drink - er no not really.
Coughs - don't bother with medicine it actually does nothing steam inhalation works just as well.
For personal advice speak to a pharmacist.

As Paul says - loads of Vit C. Think the cold remedies just take the edge off the pain, but Paracetamol does that on it's own and is cheaper!

Sweat it out and hopefully it will go before Xmas.

Hope you all feel better soon.

xx

I currently have tonsilitus and have been off work since last Friday. Got anti-biotics from the docs. Think it's turning into a cold though now.... not impressed.

I came home from work as I felt lousy - a few hot drinks, changed into pyjamas and I feel a bit better.

Had a bit of a dicky stomach as well but that's calmed down. Not had anything to eat though as I didn't feel like it.

KAYKAY, hope your tonsilitus gets better soon. Had mine out when I was a kid so no worries there.

Not felt like this for a while - spent at least two hours not on the computer when I got home from work.

Still not had anything to eat though - just not interested at the moment. Snuggled up on the sofa in PJ's and with a dog either side of me - the other one is with hubby.

I'll be fine Tina, thanks. The dreaded lurgy has hit the whole household but give it a couple of days (and I am snuggled up nicely now with two pooches) and I'll be fine.
