Looking more and more likely that we will be starting bankruptcy proceedings total £1400 for both of us - will take us a few months to save for this though. Just wandering what we do with the bailiffs chasing our joint ccj in the meantime?

Also i transferred my car into my friends name after the court hearing got thrown out for installments to be put in place - I was scared and i didnt want the bailiffs to take my car as i need it for my 4 children, my disability and my business on occassions.how will the OR see this?

Also i am absolutely gobsmacked that there are companies out there openly advising people to take out payday loans to pay for bankruptcy proceedings and then including the debt in the bankruptcy and when i asked this company surely this would be frowned upon this guy turned around and said no because you are stopping any further credit and interest being applied by going bankrupt sooner!!

Also im astouned as to how much companies charge for help to go bankrupt ive seen from £500 for joint case right up to £4000!! i mean seriously do people actually pay these? i would love to have help during our bankruptcy but having to stump up £1400 in the first place i dont think its going to be possible...

If you have decided that bankruptcy is your only way to deal with your debts, we will be happy to provide advice and support on the process - given that we are already instructed by you Spanna. You will still have to find the Court fees and deposit - but I can arrange a chat with you at the end of the week if this would assist.

I hope that you take up Melanie's offer a chat as I'm sure she can talk you through the process. Skippy and Julie may be able to assist too as they've experience of the procedure.

All the best. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I think a chat with Melanie would definitely help, were open to both an IVA and Bankruptcy and think discussing both options with Melanie would be very beneficial to us and hopefully have a solution to move forward with. I think a lot of our problem at the moment is too much advice and not knowing whats what and getting confused with it all if that makes sense. Melanie would you be available for a chat either tomorrow or Thursday afternoon? My partner has 2 days off work and i definitely think it would be beneficial if we were both there for the call. Many thanks for your responses means a lot :)

Have you received the letter we have sent you outlining the terms of our engagement with you? Although our instructions were fairly recent, it is perhaps held in the post. My number is 02920-346530.
