hi.currently 32 payments in of 60 payment total of my iva.iva in my name only.wife pays 150p/m for my share of equity in the house.my payments are 250 p/m.starting to struggle a little with payments, had another child 9 months ago.question being what do you think of the possibilty of paying off my iva early (via remortgage) what sort of figure do you think i would need to pay?my estimate 12,000. which with my calculations would give us an extra 250 p/m in our pocket. thanks.

Hi calvin g and welcome to the forum

Assuming that your property was not pledged to the IVA, given your wife's ongoing contribution, I would have thought that a figure of £12,000 would be more than reasonable so long as all of your disposable income is absorbed by your increased costs and the cost of the higher mortgage.

Run this by your own IP to see what they think.
