Is it possible when you are married and both husband and wife are working for only one of the parties to have an IVA? If your partner normally pays set bills and has loans in their name only but now his finances are much less so he can't afford to pay them and I can't afford to take these debts on.

Hi gail and welcome to the forum

Yes this is entirely possible if your partner is insolvent but you are not. In this case you would not need to propose an IVA. Has your partner recognised that he/she has a financial problem - and does he want to get help with this?
