Hi all

Theres a possibility at a meeting tomorrow i might get made redundant! (I work in the housing market so quite understandable at the moment!)

If this happens i will obviously let my IP know but i'm just a bit worried as my basic salary is reasonably good for what i do and looking around i cant really get anything else that matches it!

Has anyone been in this situation? will the IP be able to reduce the monthly payment if my salary goes down?

I have paid in over £3000 extra over the past 12 months from commission so i thought there might be some leaway really

Just loads of questions going around in my head as usual as would be nice to have some answers and advice! [:D]

Gavin

Hey Gavin, sorry about your job, hope it goes the other way for you. I'm sure your IP will help you on that one. I'm sure the experts will be along shortly to advise you. Good luck. Viki X

Hi Gavin,

Sorry to hear of your possible redundancy.

You should have a clause in your report saying that your IVA payments can be reduced by up to 15% with your IP approval without having to call a creditors meeting.

Good luck for today

Hi Gav
Sorry to hear this. Hopefully all will be well but if not talk to your Ip straight away and see what he suggests as solutions. If your income reduces then i would think a variatuion could be called to reduce payments accordingly. I am sure the fact you have paid extra in will also help.
Hope if it does happen you find another job quickly.

Hi Gav,

Any news on your possible redundancy? My stepson is in the same line as you, and he is also worried to death about losing his job.

I hope you had good news

Sorry to hear your news Gav. Will there be a redundancy package that will at least give you some breathing space?

Hi all

Meeting isnt til 4pm today and its my day off today too! talk about keeping you waiting.

Ive seen in the past few months plenty of ex colleagues and friends get made redundant and still get into other jobs as there are plenty about so Kallis your stepson would probably find others around.

I'll keep you all posted!

Thanks everybody for their kind words and support!

I did get made redundant along with the other memebers of the sales team (confusing situation - i work for an estate agent who supplies the team to a housebuilder but they are pulling out of the development so no jobs)

Its all fine and i am cool with it - i was looking around anyway so its given me a push to do it - I will have enough money for a few months and hoping i will find something else in that time - which i should do. Will just see what happens now but feeling fine!

:-)
