HI Gav

im sorry to hear the news but very glad you are feeling so positive about it, with that attitude you will probably find something quickly fingers crossed, just a thought if a certain percentage of the workforce are made redundant you might qualify for a sort of redundancy package through the jobcentre, its not something you personally get but any employers who take you on might get something, it just makes you more attractive to an employer than the person sitting next to you (not that your skills and charm wouldnt do that anyway)but just a thought.

goodluck jobhunting, but relax and enjoy the weekend first.

Sorry you lost your job, I don't think I could take it as well as you! I do hope you find something soon.

Hi Gav

Sorry to hear of your news, but glad that you seem chilled about it.

Thanks everybody!

Worked out my figures today and it seems that i am ok financially til the end of August really so thats a positive point for me.

In another positive note, there are plenty of jobs out there - i dont think things are as bad as they always seem - and i agree with you Debbie about one door closing and another opening - my philosophy too.

Hi Gav

Sorry to read this, but you did say at the frugal friends that you wanted a new job, so hope all turns out well and you land the job of your dreams.

You are being you usual sensible self about the situation and I have no doubt you will be just fine and its great that you are not under tremendous financial pressure to need a job asap and have a bit of time to look around.

Best of luck mate and keep us all updated with your quest

Gavin I hope you find something that you are happy with soon. Sometimes it takes a push to find the next path whatever that may be.
Good Luck[:)]
