Got 2 yorksire BS ATM cards through in the post yesterday, linked to our new internet saver account.(with £10 in it heheh)

MOT money is going in there(£45 a month for the 2 cars, same as we had in the trust deed),and £40 a month is going onto a post office saver card for the road taxes(both old cars due at the same time so £236 every 6 months!!).

Also putting the bulk of what we would be paying into the trust deed into the YBS account as well, and saving it for 3 months(if no disasters occur),then getting roof sorted and rendering on wall sorted(doing it in the better weather that a scottish summer brings!!!!)

Long month for pay(5 weeker) and this will be a test of character for us as we would normally be struggling like mad by the last grocery week. This month will be no different accept spare money will be sitting in other account, fingers crossed we dont touch it!!

Oh and the price of petrol has gone up 3 times in the last 10 days at our local asda!!

Excellent news Paul.

Our nearest Asda with fuel is the same price it has been for a while now - £138.7 for diesel. Tesco is £142.9!!

Petrol has been creeping up here and I paid 137.9 when I filled up the other day. I use the BP next door to work as it's convenient. I had a voucher for 10p off a litre of fuel at Tesco but it's well out of my way so that never got used unfortunately!

Our unleaded prices are pretty much the same here - £132.9!!

Too bad about the voucher!!!! We've just used one for Sainsburys for 6p off a litre.

I'm awful and have no idea how much it is in our area, if I need it I buy it and know that BP is more expensive so do use either Morrisons or Sainsbury which are usually around the same.

The prices are creeping and creeping up x

Now I work close to home, I save about £50 a week on diesel.

The prices vary, local garage is £1.41, garage just off M4 (8 miles away) £1.49!!

Remember when there was uproar over petrol rising to a £1?!?!

It's creeping up and up and despite the outrage at the £1 per litre it doesn't stop rising.

Morrisons are giving 15p per litre off if you spend £60 in store but I never spend £60 and so couldn't take advantage.

Morrisons are obviously struggling with store sales to offer such a discount. Great if anyone can take advantage of it.

Nearest one with a petrol station isn't worth my while going to and I don't like Morrisons anyway!

Didn't bother with the Tesco one either even though we have a large store half a mile away. I stick with Asda and get my discount.

I never spend enough in one store to take advantage of the discount. I don't mind any of the supermarkets but prefer some home brands to others.
