We've been in an IVA for 2 years and I haven't contributed much as I've been on maternity and work only part time. It looks like I'll be made redundant in the near future but I'm in a quandry as to what to do.
I have 2 little ones (both under 2) and its hard to come by part time work in the industry I work in (IT). So I'm pretty limited to looking for full time roles. About two thirds of my salary will go on childcare and I guess the IVA will take the rest.
I don't know whether to just stay at home with them or find a new job as I'm not going to be financially better off either way.
Any thought or opinions?
Siwan

Hi Siwan and welcome to the Forum.
It would be worth having a chat to your IP as staying at home does sound the best option. However, this would reduce or remove your surplus so the IVA payments would need to be varied. If there is no surplus you could consider trying to raise third party funds as full and final settlement or possibly use your redundancy to clear the IVA.

Have you defaulted on the IVA payments yet? If so, how many payments are you in arrears?
