I havent got the letter but it did read as compulsory to assist and complete the forms. The company you actaully deal with is Equity in Finance. They seemed friendly enough on the phone.

Hi Marksam1 -- what was Tenon's response to your phone call -- or did you speak to Equity (the PPI claims company) ?

Hi Marksam1. I hope you are well.

Have you had a response from them?

Tenons response was not good ,they told me to sign the forms and send them to equity, i said noway will i sign its fraud, then she said can i ring you back i said ok, she rang back and said just to sign them and send them, then again i said no i was not mis sold ppi She said ring equity direct which i did. They said my name would be taken out the computer, HOW CAN THEY TRY TO MAKE ME COMMIT FRAUD?

Hi Marksam1, we are both fine thank you.

If you have not been missold PPI then you should not have to sign any forms as it would be fraud.

I hope you can get this sorted.

I am with Tenon, so I am sure my time will come ! I have said before that IP's should not force (or coerce) clients into making a clain they know to be false. I am sure inciting a person to commit fraud is a crime in itself.

That's quite interesting as I have just received a "claims pack" four days before my last payment that purports to be authorised by Payplan from everybody's friends Equity in Finance. Having spoken to my case officer at Payplan, they have asked me to send the pack to them for them to investigate.
The covering letter I received was quite convincing but used a non-standard Payplan logo (slightly different font, different tag-line) and I am considering sending the pack to the FOS or the police rather than Payplan.
What would you advise Gemma?

Equity in Finance are going to make a shed load of money out of all this, they are not needed the banks are falling over themselves to repay this PPI, the banks are repaying eight billion there will be a few legal millionaires when this is all finished.

I hope they don't send anything to me - I have never taken out PPI being in the sort of job where I was never going to be made redundant and got full pay whilst off sick.

Thank you Daniel. I have been saying this for quite a while now. These firms are getting circa 20% of the repayment for, basically, writing one letter as these claims are going through uncontested at the moment.

If I had PPI I would rather make the claim myself and pay it into the IVA as I would rather the creditors got the money over some grab it all claims company.
