On the slow safe road to success. Personal thanks to Melanie Giles Kallis Skippy Elv5 and all the other wonderful forum friends.
I've got a Tuxedo Maestro. I use it quite a lot so I pay £4.99 a month for it, but they also have an option where you can pay each time you use the card.
Cash Master plus mastercard....the best allround card.I have studies them all. Can load upto 15K upon futher id checks. It has purchase protection -incase you are ripped off by airline booking going bust- and Car Hire and can upload for free instantly at certain retailers. It beats the opposition!
You can choose not to have the recurrent 4.95 fee version and pay £1 for each transaction so use it for specials! I use a real mastro card from a bank most of the time in the UK an all rounder card in the UK....
Of course some lucky people held on to their visa debit cards in the IVAs as those accounts weren't made up of creditors.

I had to give my maestro card up but I got a visa electron with my new basic bank. I was also ungraded to a visa debit card in my cash card account. I used to use two pre pay cards but I dont need them now.
Freelili, I like to know about your upgrade of cashcard to visa debit....which Bank gave you this option....this is better than any blooming prepaid option.

I've had a few of the prepaid cards, cashplus seems the best, can be used for car hire, booking hotels, also can be swiped at hotel to cover additional expenses. Also they've just reduced their atm withdrawl fees.
