I really think £50 is more than enough. OH's son got married a couple of weeks ago and he gave him £100 but when I was chatting to my friend she said looked at me as though we were cheapskates and said it should be nearer £300! Oh how the other half live!

It wasn't the bride and groom thankfully - I would have snatched it back if it had been!

Do you think you'll get anything near the same back when you get married Skippy?. I can really see my Sister in law mentioning the amount I'm giving my Niece? I absolutely spoiled my Nephews and Nieces when they were younger, only my eldest Nephew ever buys me anything back now even though they are all working except the youngest . I always buy them all at Christmas and Birthdays. I know you don't give to receive, but its still annoying sometimes. Actually after writing this I feel the amount I'm giving is more than enough!
Have no regrets, the future is ours!

To be honest I'll be surprised if we get anything back at all but like you say, you don't give to receive so it doesn't worry me. A thank you would have been nice though!

I suppose I could ask them for bling handcuffs along the lines of the ankle tag in Big Fat Gypsy Wedding!
