good news in that the proposal has arrived
Bad news is that the I and E is wrong
The proposal shows our mortgage at full rate not interest only as was agreed
But they have also included £100 over time for my husband in the income and made no allowance for my son who is at university and we were told we could have a non dep allowance for him as he gets no grants due to our income . He is 19 today . They have put our food and housekeeping at £460 for the 5 of us
it had been agreed at £600
Really feel like crying at the moment[V]

Tamzin, how awful for you.

When they are open again next week you should be straight on the phone to tell them it is wrong. They shouldn't be including overtime in the income, that should be something seperate.

I must admit that we didn't have any allowances for our daughter (also at Uni) as she is getting student loans including a living allowance. However, if you were told that you could have that then you need to query it.

These things always happen at the weekend don't they?

On a lighter note - I hope your son has a lovely birthday, and although it's hard, try to put this behind you for the weekend - enjoy his day and then sort it out next week.

Dont ever allow them to include overtime of any sort when calculating income,it will only end in tears if the overtime is not made available.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Hi
Sounds like they have tried to make your income and expenditure fit.
Go back and request correct figures

Have sent them an e-mail with all the correct figures
Just worried now the figure they quoted as monthly payment will increase. We were happy with the figure quoted thats why we went ahead with the iva and didn't go down the br route

Got to wait till they are open again now on Wednesday due to the Irish bank holiday

Will keep posting

Even though you are proposal level, you don't have to stay with them if you are not happy.

It may mean a wait of a few more weeks but give one or two others a ring and see what they say. It can't do any harm and could actually help you.

Didn't the IP go through the figures with you when they were finalising the proposals? This is a crucial process in my office at which stage each figure is discussed with our clients to ensure that both sides agree that the calculations are correct. I am sure that this will get sorted out for you next wee, but do be sure that you can afford the suggested payments, or else the IVA may be heading for failure before it even starts.

I imagine that the telephone interview you speak about was at the initial stages before you had provided documents to the IP? This should generally be confirmed when then proposals are being finalised to ensure accuracy and affordability.

Ours didn't change a lot, but Payplan were like you Melanie - kept in touch with us every step of the way so that we knew what was happening.

I've just realised our figures were adjusted to fit by Payplan - they have amended our housekeeping from £550 to £740!!! No wonder Northern Rock are querying it.

I must admit I didn't check them when I received the proposal - so partly my fault.

Makes a change for them to amend it up, rather than down!

Give them a ring on Monday and ask why they have done this.

Hi Tamzin

It covers 2 adults and 3 children - but after asking on this forum yesterday for a guideline £580 was quoted at the high end.

Hi Jan

I think they are tired of me contacting them and to be honest have come to the conclusion that BR is the way to go as I'm sure NR are not going to budge .
