Feel free CJ! I have these moments all the time! I filled in an online survey tonight, five minutes after I had done it, hubby asked me what it was for - I couldn't remember!

I did eventually remember that it was about newspapers![:D]

It is rather sad that professional firms would seek to rubbish this forum - but I suppose that everyone is entitled to their opinion. The main thing is that you get your financial affairs sorted out, so why not give both Payplan and Andrew a call and then compare the advice you get.

Good luck CJ08, hope you can move forward with this. I certainly don't know where I would have been without the help, support and advice from this forum. X

After that the next conversation will be here is my 2 weeks notice to cancel and ill cut my losses! Im awaiting a call tomorrow from payplan so before i commit to them you would reccommend me speaking to him!? One thing that did make me laugh in that conversation is "would i get my IVA from this forum?" thats like me saying to my clients to stop them getting their insurance from tesco or sainsbury "would you buy your food from me!?" every sales person has to find a way to plant a doubt in what the the customer is buying! Seriously Melanie should an IVA be treated like a product you buy!? If i wasnt so determined to get myself on an IVA at some point then this would of put me off!
Unfortunately some do view an IVA to be a commodity. They completely overlook the fact that it is a bespoke product, yes, even a consumer IVA is, as no 2 people are identical and everyone's circumstances differ in some way.

The individual who has been talking at (and not with) you
seems incredibly naive. Does he realise what untold harm he has done his organisation rubbishing this forum? Probably not. I would very much welcome a debate with him about on something like the Insolvency Rules but suspect I would be playing "Spot the Brain Cell"!

You are right to seek advice elsewhere but would recommend you speak to a couple (no more) of other firms in addition to Payplan to see who gives you the best advice before you decide where to go next, and who with.

Hi Ian, at the moment its best for me to be on DMP and Payplan has been the best so far! but melanie recommended someone at brightoak so will speak to them before i commit... i just want to pay a bit more to the creditors on the DMP and pay no fees or little at all! But this guy hasnt put me off an IVA i just know at this time it is best for me to be on DMP maybe another 6 months possibly another year when i have someone to share my household bills with!

Hi

Whatever you think is best for you but whatever you do a change of scenery has got to be the right thing.

Good luck!
