hi there, just need a bit of advice please.at present the house is in my partner's name only.what i would like to know is...1) is it possible to have the house put in joint names if i am in an iva ?(i.e. just have my name added to the deeds & not the mortgage)...2) if this is possible,is it allowed & would i then be classed as a homeowner?...im just trying to think & plan ahead as at present my partner doesnt have a will,so if anything were to happen to him what position would that leave me in ? [:)] [:)] x

You should discuss this directly with yoru IP, Tori - but personally I would not recommend that you do this. If your IVA were to fail for any reason, and you were to be made bankrupt, this could affect your partner. It would be far better to get him to make out a will in your favour - leaving the house to you in the event of his death.
