Herbekj - I'm afraid you make it sound so black and white. If you felt you had portrayed in a negative and inaccurate way would you want to sit back and wait for the outcome, then appeal or would you want to defend your good name. I am afraid i am someone that will defend myself.
I will obviously seek legal advise before starting a website if i need to go down that route - There will be nothing on it except facts. Just copies of emails and documents i have sent the IVA office. I have thought of this as it will be a efficient way to get the full story to my creditors.
In answer to other people the letter I received from Melanie Giles this morning starts to read....
"Please find enclosed my variation report to the creditors fro your information, the contents of which you will find self explanatory."
Yes i put a dead line on this so Melanie will argue i gave her no opportunity to have me sign the proposal off. How ever I first asked about a variation meeting on the 11th of July and apart from a delay of 3-4 weeks due to Melanie Giles technology, Royal Mail and myself finding documents the rest of the time has been spent wasted by Melanie Giles company.
Ultimately i get the impression they have stalled and stalled in order form me to find a job and continue making money out of me.
(I have been trying to find a job and can supply a detailed job search diary to any judge)
How ever i simple wanted to ask my creditors if this was a fair and sensible solution to my life. Obviously i am not proud of running up the original debt how ever i simple do not see how an IVA will continue when/if i get a new job as i suspect to earn less than before, simple as employers are not paying the same in my area of work since the recession.
I have explained this time and time again to Melanie's staff.
Herbeki - i as you are amazed how such a highly valued comapny can deal with me so poorly.
Finally for those that may see me trying to run away from my debt by way of f&f it is simple not the case. I presently have 45K of negative equity and live in a two bedroom flat with two children under four. Bankruptcy would be by far the best solution but i want to ultimately pay as much back as i can and if takes me till i retire to pay for my mortgage so be it.
It's not that we ( I ) feel that you should not be posting here --- but I think you should be directing your energies, at this point, into speaking to Mel direct and getting this meeting postponed, if that is at all possible, until you are happy with the variation.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I have a problem/concern, the IVA company ignores, creates a reason for delay or attempts to steer me in a different direction.
After waiting some more I get frustrated.
I then air my views on the forum, ( and may i add I have nver named and shamed to this point) Melanie works out who I am fixes the problem and asks for it to be discussed off forum.
That has been the pattern over and over.
I am afraid she only likes the problems to be off forum as she generates business on this forum. Gee Wiz that's how I found her and why i went with her company as it was spoken of very highly.
So in summary if all the problems with her company are banished from this forum people are obviously not getting a fair over view of her company, such as myself.
I thought a forum is a public arena to help people, give advise and also air problems?????
If a forum member is well liked and that means there problems have to be silenced is that fair to the general public?????
YOU have a variation in process and YOU have decided it will fail.
If it does fail, you have cause to post your views and complain to your IP.
It hasn't been received or rejected by the creditors yet.

Hopefully they will tell you that you should wait until the variation has been rejected as you simply do not have any complaint at this point.

herbekj- I see your point, how ever its not about if the proposal fails or is successful its about the fact someone has shown me in bad light.
It maybe very old fashioned of me but I will simple not allow it. I will not be portrayed in this way to anyone and if i have to take that to a court for a judge to say that then that's what i will have to do.
Hi again worried9876. As you've stated, "I thought a forum is a public arena to help people, give advise and also air problems"????? You are absolutely right, and I'd hate to think that you you are being silenced or stifled in any way at all. I speak for myself when I say that my reason for coming on here is to read of others experiences; learn new facts; gain insight into the whole IVA process; support others; challenge opinion; vent; be cheered up etc etc etc. I've gained so much from it, and hope my contribution can be of use too. I really don't want you to feel unwelcome, but I for one feels that I can only offer my own experience of F & F with you, and being that there's quite a bit of (confusing to me) threads, it's difficult for me to be of much practical help, as the only person who can really get this sorted with you is your IP, which I hope will be very soon. x

Gill B, sorry for the confusion, my logic of a separate post for each question has seemed to not worked. i was also trying to get away from the post with Melanie Giles name in thus not creating any more bad press than initially happened.
I am not an unfair person but as i mention above i will not be treated like this.
I could write many many lines of the story so far but I feel a website will be a more practical use of my time, initially for the creditors eyes. Then i can spoon feed the creditors my situatuion and story to date thus not taking up to much of there time.
I still feel i need to interven now and not allow the my name to be spoken of in this way. Bankruptcy meeting, creditors meeting or alike. well the damage is already done in my eyes, letters are in the post and people will read...
Now i have to defend, defend, defend.
A question i think i already asked is am i allowed to attend my variation meeting? Although I have insisted on communicating by email to this point as being unemployed and in this situation has taken me to breaking point i now feel i have to attend even though her office is the other side of the country to me.
And another question springs to mind, the IVA company is charging for this meeting, money that my creditors will not see, if i think it will fail should i not cancel the meeting to save my creditors money?
You are, of course, correct, Worried ... we dicuss problems with all the IP's here and Mel should be no exception. We have all noted that you are having a problem and have all advised you to speak to your IP.
The problems you are having are not being banished but, we are unable to discuss them further as none of us are party to the exact circumstances.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Bad light? the only important thing is to have the proposal approved.
If my proposal stated I was a reformed drunk (which I am not) who cares who sees it, a few people in an office who just tick a box.
If the proposal as presented gets accepted then who cares what it says in it.
