As I've already stated on here, you'll be receiving our paperwork from VB imminently. Will you be sending me a template letter to send to my creditors? I haven't really informed any of them what we're doing yet, couldn't tell Barclays (as they were our current account providers) as only this week we've had our salaries and dd's transferred to our new account. Thanks x

Hi we also used VB in the first instance and I also banked with Barclays! what a coincidence. Yes they provide you with a template that you photocopy and send to all your creditors....not that it seemed to make any difference as the phone calls still continued and they all denied knowledge of receiving the letter.
Gosh.....life is so much easier!

I am sure that this is something that VB supply as a matter of course as part of their services, but if not then just let us know when you are eventually transferred and we can provide one. We will also write to your creditors from our perspective at the same time.

That's a coincidence Poq! Good to see you've been successful having taken the same route as us. Do you mind me asking how long it took from first contact to IVA acceptance (just to give me an idea of how much longer we have in the process)? Thanks for the quick reply Mel - I'll ask VB for a template letter x

My partner first contacted VB on a bleak Saturday morning at the begining of July when the cards were maxxed out and even buying food was a desperate worry!....so I suppose about 10 weeks in total x

Thanks Pog - I first contacted VB on 1 September, and our paperwork is being passed to Melanie this week - so hopefully we'll be sorted by the end of November?? It would be great if our IVA was accepted before Christmas - we can have a fresh start for the New Year. We were the same - cards maxxed out, overdraft busted to its limit - we were worried sick about being able to buy food - I never want to feel like that again xx

Sometimes the process can take a little longer if your are using an intermediary company rather than going directly to an IP firm - but I am sure the wait will be worth it.
