It's not ideal but there does seem to be a delay with many firms for F&F at present. I think they must be bogged down with new requests for IVA's!!!

Hookdex - just a thought, are you likely to be able to get a job quite soon after you redundancy?
Again reason why i ask - if this is unlikely !!! - it could be discussed about "accepting payment to date" - rather than borrowing from friends.
Certainly if you have no job - you dont want to be owing money to friends.

Well its complicated....I was advised in January this year that I had been selected as a possible candidate for redundancy - it is fully accepted that my employer is just following protocol as I am one of two employees, and the other is the bosses son! We all get on very well so I think six months has gone by, but I am running out of work to do and get the impression its only a matter of time now.
I have been job hunting since January as I thought I would find something quite easily I havent really worried about it too much. I am a part qualified accountant - which is bad for two reasons, I cannot go BR as I could never get qualified and there is absolutely ZERO jobs in the industry at the moment.
I am really not proud and don't care if I have to get a job washing dishes for a while so I am not too concerned about repaying small loans. Although I could ideally use the money to fund my unemployed self!
In summary, do you think they would consider accepting payments to date if I am not officially unemployed yet?
Sorry to keep asking so many questions, which I would prefer to ask my IP but as I said that is six weeks of sleepless nights away!

No expert Hoodex - but hang on here i am sure someone(expert) will answer that.
What you may find is they take payments until you go "redundant" then give you a payment holiday - to find work.
If it was me - i wouldnt want finish an IVA -owing friends money, that i have have no chance of paying back.
I hope it does not come to that - at at least you can get some "enjoyable work" and move on with you life.
No problems with the load of questions - thats what the forum is good for!
But as said hang on in here someone with loads more experience may be able to suggest other alternatives.
