if you pay a full and final settlement a few years before your original iva runs outs does it still stay on your file for the full 6 years?

Hi Richard,

The answer is Yes, it does not matter whether your IVA was completed by a Full & Final Settlement OR 5 years of monthly contributions. An IVA will remain on your credit file for 6 years from the date of its commencement.

An IVA will stay on your credit file for a period of 6 years from its start. However, your details will only be registered on the Insolvency Register until the IVA completes.

Hi R1chard,

Your details will be removed from the register when your IVA completes but your IVA will remain on your credit file for 6 years from the start of the agreement.

Regards,
Michelle P.
