I'm thankful we have gas - even so we are having to leave it on at the moment because of the baby.

I hear that May is supposed to be really cold this year.

We can usually get away without it in the day but the evenings are still chilly and it does go on for a couple of hours. We're gas too.

Lesley, we switch ours off totally from April to October, it's only the winter months in between where it is on for at most 4 hours a day, whatever the weather does, and that still costs us over £900 a year

I would probably have had ours switched off by now but with a newborn we can't really do that. cold May.

We pay a £133 @ month but that's for gas and electric. Gas is the main bulk of that amount. We do have a new condensing boiler and only ever have the heating on 15 never higher as I don't like to be too hot but don't like to be cold.

Fully insulated everywhere we can be too. It is down to a couple of hours an evening now and then not every evening but if I'm chilly on it goes. x

We pay £170 for gas and electric and we are fully insulated as well. That has made a difference to our bills.

ah you see we only have loft insulation, we live in an old cottage with solid walls so can't have cavity wall insulation either!, this house doesn't keep heated very well in winter but in summer it stays warm very easily, I can't work it out!
