It does annoy me that RBS continue to shirk their responsibilities toward their illegal PPI practices, by illegally offsetting refunds against former IVA protected debts. I think IP's, or the industry as a whole, should be having a conversation with the Ombudsman about this !

If it is illegal they are showing some arrogance in putting it in writing they are doing it!!! Seriously they have not learnt anything from the whole scandal?
RBS cannot offset against debts included in an IVA and they know this.

It is illegal - they cannot do it as your IVA is now clear and they have been paid off.

RBS routinely do this knowing that you, as an IVA survivor, will not have the means or, probably, the will to challenge it. In any event, it is the creditors and IP's who are missing out and they should be fighting this particular battle.

I am going to wait until the letter from RBS arrives... plus it is creditfix so ai won’t be able to get someone to answer the phone let alone speak to my IP

I am not going to be fighting RBS about what they are doing as far as I can see that is CF’s job. I will wait and see if this explanation letter from RBS that is apparently coming says This cheque is really mine and if so whether they have cleared this with CF ( they sent the actual comp money to CF in July ) and go from there
It's not even down to CF really - just ignore RBS - you are covered.
