Hiya all.

Me and my husband completed IVA in 2012 (6 years in all, with an extended 12 months).

Weve worked hard at improving our income via study and promotions so we never fall into money trouble again (hopefully). Massive lesson learnt!!!

New jobs we now earn between us 58,000 (5 years hard work to get to this point!)

Luckily we didn't lose our house and have successfully managed to pay our mortgage for 10 years! With a growing family (3 children) we want to move house!

Who will help us get a new mortgage?? We feel trapped in this small house and forever punished for our past financial mistakes.

If there's one thing an IVA taught us, that was how to live within a budget and financial management. Learnt the hard way!

With our new jobs/income we can finally afford the house we want to live in until we're old and grey...but how?

Advice greatly appreciated.

You should speak to one of the mortgage experts such as Shaun Vickery whose details are in the ask a question section. It sounds like you should be able to get a mortgage as your credit file must be clear by now so give it a try and best of luck.

Definitely worth contacting one or both of them for a chat. All the best
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hiya

Thanks. We emailed Ryans company and have had a missed phone call regarding this subject.

My husband is going to return the call tomorrow.

We also have a appointment with Santander Bank Friday, but I'm not holding my breath x

Keep you posted x
