HSBC were on of my creditors, and were not sympathetic at all. I wouldn't touch them again with a ten foot barge pole.

I like most members did not think much of HSBC before my IVA. I had a account with First Direct which they closed when I told them I was going to do a IVA even though I did not owe them any money.
Having said that once my IVA had completed they let me open a new account without any problems even though they knew I had been in a IVA. They were the ONLY high street bank which were prepared to give us a new mortgage. So on that fact alone I have to be fair to them. Since I opened my new account they have not tried to push any credit cards or loans at me at all. They have tried a few times to get me to take out house insurance ect but thats all.
IVA completed

We had a really bad time with them, had terrible advice and as a result ended up deeper in debt.

I really wouldn't want anything to do with them again.
