Hi,
Two things, firstly we are still awaiting a decision on our set off. This has led to our IVA now entering its eight year. Can anyone advise a way of settling this and getting our completion certificate, please?
An initial dip into the remortgaging market has been partially positive, we have been told that the delay in finalising our IVA has cost us thousands. We desperately need to consolidate our mortgage and second mortgage, total £60000. I need to retire as now off work with stress. Can anyone suggest a way forward for us as we are very frustrated.

You need tgo speak with your IP and see if there is any way they can close your file down and deal with setoff/PPI afterwards. Otherwise your name will remain on the insolvency register and the costs of a remortgage would be prohibitive if even available at all.

Ironically, your credit file is probably fine and your credit score quite high but until you are off the register you will struggle.

Speak to either Shaun or Ryan (details under the expert link on the left) as they have been instrumental in sourcing mortgages for posters.
