Hello!! I've been in my IVA for over 5 months now, and i'm still getting calls and letters from one of my creditors, they are saying that they have not received any payment from me or my IP. I have informed them that the most I can do is to let my IP know the situation (which I have on a couple of occasions) but they seem to keep calling, my IP doesn't seem to worried by it, but I am! - is this normal for 5/6 months in??

Hi kahlan

I am sure that your IP has written to all of your creditors, but sometimes this information takes some time to filter down the departments within the banks. Continue to keep your IP informed of these letters and calls - you really can't do much more than you are already doing.

Yes, do let your IP know. Your creditors will only get paid as per the schedule in your proposal. This could well be a year or two before they receive the first installment! You shouldnt have to put up with calls at all whilst your IVA is in place. So get on at your IP to sort it out for you.

I had a similiar situation (but only several weeks in not 5 months!) with one of my creditors, the IP wrote to both parties (as a DCA was handling it on behalf of the creditor) and the calls have now stopped.

If this particular account has a DCA involved, ask your IP to send a letter to both the original creditor and the DCA then hopefully something will be done about it...

I would get hold of your IP and get this situation resolved. The creditor is bound by the IVA and should not be contacting you.It really is your IPs job to sort this out and they are getting paid to do so.

It doesn't matter if you are in an IVA or bankrupt - I have been having problems with Littlewoods. They keep sending letters demanding payment and the phoned and were rude to my mum. I sent them a copy of the BR certificate and it hasn't made any difference - another letter arrived today. I phoned the OR this morning and they are going to contact Littlewoods again. I wouldn't mind, but I only owed them £79!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi, thanks for all your comments!

Skippy13, snap, littlewoods are the culprit! I've contacted my IP and called up Littlewoods again to let them know.

Thanks again!

I don't think that the departments at Littlewoods talk to each other - they are useless.
