We made our last payment June 2016, took to march this year to receive c.c and yesterday we came off Insolvency Register. Never thought we would get to this point and oh boy what a lovely feeling. I would like to thank the experts and other users on this site who gave valuable advice and reassurance at difficult times. If it was not for this forum we would have taken the word of IVA company that we had over £5000 equity and still be paying an extra 12 months. From the advice we received we argued the equity clause, providing appropriate evidence & arguments and they eventually agreed that we did not have to pay extra 12 months.I hope the forum continues for a long time giving hope to people who are still on their journey or are starting off, many thanks again

Almost back to normality :-) Well done.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I can't believe how long it took to get your CC!

You might want to consider making a complaint if there was not a reasonable explanation for the delay.

Or you might decide to let sleeping dogs lie now that you got to the end.

Best of luck for a debt free future.

I agree with you Lisa, it seemed so long at the time but after final payment we received a lot of paperwork to sign and included was a statement stating the IVA company have up to 12 months to issue C.C and another agreeing they get any outstanding PPI. For them to continue with the closure stage we had to sign & return the paperwork or they would not proceed. I did not want to delay this any further so reluctantly agreed. As you see from my previous posts I did chase them in the meantime. Anyway all finished and have learned a valuable lesson in staying debt free !!

The 'standard' closure timescales are 6 months, which is bad enough.

12 months is ridiculous.
