Anyone else really struggling towards the end of their IVA?

I think because I am paying such a large sum I'm feeling really bitter about those that get their debt written off. I know it's my debt but it's not really how I thought it was going to be when I first got my IVA excepted.

Just wanted a moan. 5 years is up next June then its expected I will have a 6th year, at £1000 a month it's just making be really fed up.

Anyone else feel this way?

You might not be getting as much written off as others might have done, but you are not fighting off bailiffs either, nor paying contractual interest. You are getting near the end and will soon be ablew to put this all behind you and enjoy that £1000 a month yourself --- had you not gone into the IVA you could easily still be struggling like you were before. Try to focus on the positives.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

We paid £1200 / month for our iva... it was almost half our income ...seemed alot at the time and like you looked at others and felt hard done by at times, but when we got to the end we had learnt so much and held our heads very high when the final review dropped on with certificate and said 100p in £ repaid....

Start to think about that first month post iva .... what will you do to celebrate... it will go really quickly once you get into that last year of payments

Yes!

I can totally relate to the frustration, currently seems never ending.

How about a calendar countdown ?
- only 12 more payments to go :D

I would try and focus on the positives as others have said, and if you look at it from the other point of view after a review of your income and expenses you have £1000 left to be paid to creditors,

Someone paying £100 per month only has £100 left after income and expenditure.

So yes they are paying a lot less back per month but once you are both IVA free

You'll have £1000 left over for yourself compared to there £100
IVA Started 07/07/2017
F & F Accepted 06/09/2019
Completion Certificate 16/12/2019
