I completed my IVA in July 2011 with RSM Tenon. The case got transferred to GT. I am still waiting for my CC.GT claim the closure process began in Oct 2012. I have recently tried unsuccessfully to contact GT- emails remain unanswered and when I have rung I am told that someone will respond soon. However 3 weeks on and no further forward. I received a letter a while ago about PPI claims explaining that another company would be contacting me about this- but again not heard anymore. I am really frustrated about the length of time this is taking to resolve and wondered if there was any advice about how to move things on or if there is any advice about to complain about the length of time the closure has taken. It seems unfair that I have adhered to my part of the IVA agreement and yet nearly 7 years on am still liable under the terms of the IVA. I would like to be able to rebuild my credit score and move on from this.
We are the same, completed in Nov 2011 with RSM tenon and still waiting. Trying to get answers from GT is like swimming in mud. All we want is are CC. I was advised to asked for are contract we signed at the beginning of our IVA. Was told that if it state agreement to not last over 72 month if they have broken this then they are at fault. Not sure what to do really. Next step complains proceder I think as just want to move on now:(
I am the same old rsm tenon customer completed nov 2011, transferred to gt 6 months ago and now involved with the ppi delay ! But it seems cc can still be issued despite ppi, which can be dealt with after cc is sent ! Am waiting today for an email from Karol about this. Will repost with any positive response.
Sorry to hear I'm not the only one. But agreed it is totally unacceptable. I have emailed Karol and hope this speeds things up but I am looking into how to make a formal complaint should this not be resolved soon, although looking on the forum at previous posts the complaints procedure re GT is hard to find! I think I've been patient given the length of time already passed since the final payment was made and cannot see how any IP can justify a 20 month delay for a cc.
this what they sent me ref complains:
With regard to my firm's complaints procedure, the process has 3 primary steps as follows:
1 If a client expresses unhappiness with the service provided by this firm, then in the first instance the concerns will be dealt with by the manager responsible for the area that gave rise to the complaint and you will receive a formal response in that regard within one month of the date of this letter. Should we require additional time to investigate the matter, you will of course be advised accordingly.
2 If the matter cannot be resolved by the relevant manager, you can then direct your complaint to my designated senior member of staff Mr Paul Madden at Grant Thornton, Waters Edge, Clarendon Dock, Belfast, BT1 3BH.
3 If you continue to be dissatisfied with my firm's response to your complaint, you can then write to Ms Fiona Beighton - the Head of Quality & Risk Management who deals with any complaints arising from the firm's recovery department - at Grant Thornton UK LLP, 30 Finsbury Square, London, EC2P 2YU.
In the unlikely event that my firm is unable to resolve your complaint you can then complain to my regulatory body – the Insolvency Practitioners Association.
I made my last payment Feb 2012 so only 13 months for me, butI'm getting really really frustrated I chased them in Sept/Oct/Nov as I was told it would take no longer than 6 months to get the CC, I was told then that there was an internal billing issue on my case that would be resolved by Dec, I then got told in Jan that they would need to investigate PPI, So I contact EIC completed their forms and sent them back I then get set another letter RE PPI asking for authority that I had already given EIC?!?. I eventually after 5 or 6 un responded to email phoned then and after trying for the best part of a day got through to someone who could not confirm when I would get my CC or give me a timescale only that as it had been 12 months + it shouldn't be much longer.
I'm really fed up on how unconcerned GT are, they don't seem at all bothered that its been over a year since my last payment, they never reply to email I was promised fortnightly/monthly update emails on my cases progression & have't had one since the start of Jan!!. I must have sent 6 or 7 emails and they haven't even responded with the usual we'll get back to you as soon as possible automated response.
I've done everything I was meant to year reveiw documents, made every payment of the IVA and GT just don't want to know about sending out the CC, I wouldn't mind but they're getting paid to this out of my IVA payments and yet they don't seem to tbe doing what they're meant to!!
All I can say is that Paul Madden is a brilliant chap who will be sure to get these matters resolved for you. I know Paul very well, and know he is doing everything he can to deal with individual concerns right now. I strongly recommend that if this is the published complaints procedure, that you follow it to the letter. Complaints to regulatory bodies, without firstly going through the correct process, are not reviewed in the same light as when the firms own process has failed. Similary, firms who do not abide by their own complaints process - which is required to be published on their websites and clients provided with copies of at the outset of an assignment - will be penalised heavier in the event that the regulator's complaints committee finds against them.
Having just read my original paper work (after a wild hunt in the garage) it states tat our agreement was for a maximum of 60 months(5 year) and 6 months to allow for closure. This is the agreement that we sign and went to the courts. Are Gt now breaking this agreement as it has been 16 months for the closure process. We kept to our contract and paid every month on time for 60 months. Please advise if possible
We were promised monthly updates which have stopped after two. My last e mail went unanswered and have e mailed Karol yesterday so we will see what happens. If GT are closing cases ahead of those of us waiting for ever then that is really not fair.
Has anyone had a response yet from GT? I have emailed 3 times in 3 weeks and this week emailed Karol, although I appreciate she will be busy. It doesn't fill me with hope that cc are being issued anytime soon if emails aren't even replied to
I have not heard anything either they just do not seem to care as to what happens. Am I right in saying that we are there clients as its are money that pays there fees?
