Thankyou all and congrats to all your own stars!

I must apologise to my son, he didn't come 2nd in Sussex, but in fact he came 2nd in the South East, so I am even prouder and his competitors were seasoned runner all at least 2 years older than him.

Oh the chicken went well, just over cooked it a little so the drumsticks fell off the bone and the potatoes were just a tad under cooked. Next time will be better.

Congratulatons Kirsty to your son - you must be very proud.
Also well done on the roast - I bet it tasted all the better knowing your fair hands had cooked it.

It is so nice to hear of all your gifted children and whilst in an IVA or bankruptcy, I feel it improves the way we look at life and give us hope for our and their future.

Good luck to everyone and enjoy the gift of our children, even though they drive us to distraction most of the time.

Looking at the posts brought back memories of my earlier years. I used to run for a local running club and my greatest achievement was the mile in 4mins 5 seconds. but today ... if I manage to walk a mile in 45 minutes I've had a good day. Best of luck to all the new young runners ... keep it up.
When I was young I was called a rugged individualist
When I was in my fifties I was considered eccentric
Here I am doing and saying the same things I did back then and now I'm labelled senile
