As Foggy says many including me and i went straight to my bank natwest three months after the credit file was clear and i had no credit files other than my mortgage and electric and mobile files registered with credit agencies. i got my remortgage with natwest coming from another lender and I'm also self-employed so don't stress too much about a rebuild if you want to stay away from credit. hope this helps

Got my Vanquis card!

Time to spend responsibly, feels strange having a credit card, not sure I like it!!

But I need to sort my credit rating somehow

I have had my CC nearly a year now and my credit rating on Equifax and Experian shows as fair and good but on Noddle its basically rubbish! 2/5 score. Just an observation. Also my noddle report doesn't show me as registered on the Electoral roll either.

...what I meant to add was I got a store credit card with a £500 limit which I pay off each month just to build my credit score again. It is very odd after not having a card for so long.

Now a store card is not something I would ever have again - it was one of the things that got me into trouble in the first place.

Strangely enough my Noddle account is ok, as is Clearscore

How soon after final payments did people get a Vanquis card? Some seem to be able to get one despite being within the IVA term? Just looking as I am about to escape!
Last Payment on Jan 5th 2016!

I got mine well after my F&F and completion certificate, but whilst the IVA was still showing on my credit files. I only took so long because I was trying to overcome the mental block I had placed on such things.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
