Hi all.

We are 10 months into our IVA and everything is going really well.
Not heard or received a thing from our creditors since our IVA was approved on the 27th December last year.

Got home this lunchtime to find a Credit Card Statement demanding full payment of the account. What should I do ?

Your thoughts most welcome

Ignore it! It seems a lot of people have had statements or default notices! If you're really worried forward it to your IP.

As Skip says, ignore it, or use it as loo paper!

They can't do anything to you.

There seems to be an awful lot of bank money being wasted on letters and postage - if they can waste this, why do they need bailing out?[:D]

Why do they do it? Is it somethin that has slipped through the net or do they think they might worry people into paying the money owed to them, thinking were nieve or something?
Steve.

IVA approved!

MBNA were the main culprit Steve. They said they had been sent out by mistake.

Fortunately those of us on here will either guess, or will ask what to do. I imagine there are a lot of people out there who are now scared s***less and don't know which way to turn.

Send it to your Supervisor - he/she will write to them. Don't worry they cannot do anything.

Hi Everyone
I emailed my company (DFD) tonight to advise what I should do with the Credit Card Statement that I had received. Within 5 minutes of having sent the email I received I telephone call from DFD, advising me of the new legislation that had come into force as of the 1st October and that I should ring or write to the Credit Card company advising that I would not be making any payments as this is covered by my already approved IVA.

WELL IMPRESSED WITH DFD !!!!!

Now that has to be a first for DFD. Good communication.
I must admit though, i think the communication issue was the only one hubby ever had with them.
