you can post a review of the debt people here:

they have already had two reasonably good reviews.

Choose an Insolvency Practioner that doesn't want money up front otherwise if the IVA does fail you could be out of pocket.

More bills than pence.
My sig.

Eat the debt. My raison d'etre is to put TIX 'the isolvency exchange' out of business by informing anyone who will listen to take a bankruptcy over an unrealistic IVA proposal.

Hi there

The IVA company I went through was a little slow (I thought so anyway) but thorough and did not ask for any payments until it was accepted by my creditors.

Just thought I would say that I am finding this forum very useful and a real comfort (I wish I had only found it prior to my IVA being accepted).

Good luck to you all
Last payment made on 1st Nov 2011. Happy to be debt free!

Guys

Don't forget that an IVA is a commitment for the next five years of your life. I would rather spend a little longer on getting a client's proposal right, than slapping it together without testing and verifying the information.

These days creditors expect the whole document to stand up - especially the expenditure side (see my latest blog posting), so if that means a little longer time spent in the long run then it is worth it.

The Company we are using is Spencer Hays who advertised in the Sunday papers. They put us on to an IP from Simple Debt Solutions. I have to say both of these companies have been fantastic up to now.
We rang on about 20th December and with Xmas in between all paperwork has been lodged with the court and we have a proposed creditors meeting of 19th Feb. I have to say it has been up to now a painless transition.....fingers crossed for the approval.
