Brightoak have been recommended by people on this forum. They do charge a fee, but it might be worth considering as sometimes you do get what you pay for.
As Andy says, Charlotte, the CCCS figures are only there for a guide, and if your hubby spends £200 per month on petrol then that should be allowed. You may want to try one of the fee paying companies as well as a "charity" just to compare the allowances and service levels. A fee paying company will perhaps have your interests as paramount, more than a company actually funded by the lenders, but this will cost in the long run.
