Me and my husband are both in IVAs until Sept 2012. I am being made redundant, and am only getting statutory redundancy. Im basically getting 9 weeks notice and 7 weeks redundancy pay, im part time so its not much at all. I know I cant claim job seekers/maternity until my notice period has ended, notice period will start some time in june so by the time I can claim anything ill be about 30 weeks pregnant or more, meaning ill be put straight onto maternity allowance at £128 a week for 9 months.

Ill be living off my notice period pay out as wont have any other money coming in for me, and the 7 weeks redundancy lump will be left over. Can I try and use it for a full and final? Also my husband will still be in his IVA so if mine was paid off, given that ill be unemployed and on maternity pay, could they try and up his payments at all? Its all so confusing and so many factors to consider.

I would definitely talk with your IP and although I don't have any concise advice, I know one of our many experts may be able to offer some guidance.

All the best and hang around as someone won't be far away x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi - the most important thig is to enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to your baby! I think offering your lump sum as a full and final sounds like a good idea. You are unlikely to find new employment whilst heavily pregnant and the maternity pay isntgoing to stretch to your IVA. Good luck xx

Just catching up again,

Have a word with your IP as Lesley said above, you need to make them aware of the situation and Im sure they will be able to find a solution.
Your so close to the end & its not in their interest or yours for your IVA to fail now.
One of our Experts will be able to give some advise soon, hang on in there x

You may find that you can get your creditors to accept what you have paid so far. Your IP can help you with this one.

In the meantime, just enjoy the rest and the new baby when he/she arrives!
