Oh well it's actually happened.Oh was made redundant on friday. And whilst he had been warned a few weeks ago that it was a possibility,we were so hoping that it wouldn't actually happen. So,the last couple of days have been a bit of a blur..But thankfully he's been there long enough to be coming away with some redundancy pay. It's just the uncertainty that makes me anxious, and the realisation that now there is only one wage coming in[:(]..It always seems that just when things are sailing along relatively smoothly something has to go wrong!! But,there are people going through far worse things than this,so we will just have to be strong and try to stay positive, and hope that he finds something soon.On a lighter note,at least whilst he's not working he can do ALL the housework[}:)][;)]!! x

Tori, I'm so sorry. Lets hope he will get another job soon (after he's finished the housework of course![:D]). At least the redundancy pay will help towards your commitments.

It's good to see you are so positive. It's awful when you have managed to pull your life around when something like this happens.

Sending you a hug.

Thanks for that Pixie, yeah i spotted that you were in my neck of the woods!! He is a welder/fabricator,but really fancies doing something different,so he'll just have to find out what's available. He's off to the job centre tomorrow so we shall see!! X

Sorry Tori, can't help with that field! There's always sales jobs coming up and office/warehouse based positions. If there's nothing at the job centre I'm happy to keep an eye out for you.

Good for you for being so positive! I look back at some of the awful things that have happened to me and can now see that they did happen for a reason. Sounds cheesy, but it's true.
I am positive something better will turn up soon!

Oh Tori, I am so sorry to hear your news about your hubby, hope he finds a new job very soon. There is so much of it about at present, unfortunately. (My brother has just been told that he may be made redundant in next few weeks as well).

Like you say, its the uncertainty of not knowing what's going to happen and the fact you will only have one wage coming in.

Nice to see you feeling positive though and you're right, there's always the housework to do while he's looking[;)]

Try and stay positive, and hopefully, he will find an even better job soon. Sending you a big hug[:)]

xx

Thanks Dm and ladyh.Yeah, maybe this has happened for a reason, and there will be an even better job just around the corner.Who knows? For a long time he's wanted to go back to college to do a course on something totally different,so maybe this is a chance for him to broaden his horizons!! Dm,i hope your brother manages to keep hold of his job, like you say though it's happening absolutely everywhere. We all just have to sit tight and 'ride the storm' as they say!! [:)]xx
