Thanks for the monopoly idea [:)] He is refusing to look at the figures on the spreadsheet so maybe this will help!

Doubling turnover is ridiculous and can't be done. He currently works 5 days a week, and very often is working til 9 or 10pm at night and Saturdays too. So how he can work more and double the income is a mystery to me, and him too judging by his evasive answers.

At the moment we owe HMRC around £1000 not taking into account whatever he will need to pay at the end of January. We also haven't paid any NICs for around 18 months.

I do fear for the future if you cannot get your hubby to recognise these issues. Sooner rather than later your credit lines will dry up - if that has not already happened - and then matters are likely to get a lot worse.

Try and get him in a mellow mood over the weekend, explain to him how worried you are about the future, and gently coax him into seeking some help.

See if you can get him to read some of the posts and/or blogs on here. It might make him sit up and think when he realises just how many people are in the same position.
