If you have equity in the property, in the absence of a remortgage I think it is likely that you will be asked to pay contributions for a further year. This is far better than tying yourself into a higher mortgage over a much longer period of time.

OT! Surely the torchlette is more important?

I hope she is ok OT!

She is more important than the football, but Birmingham City may not get to Wembley again in my lifetime!. Poor thing has endometriosis, and the best the consultant could tell her is that there is nothing they can do and the best treatment to clear it would be to get pregnant.

Worse that missing the football - you are missing the World Cup Cricket! We could just win this against India - I am starting to bite my nails!!

Sorry to hear about the little one - and what ridiculous advice from the consultant.

I'm almost down to my elbows Mel!

OT, I had a different problem but was told the same thing by a doctor, that the only way things would improve is if I got pregnant. I was about 16 at the time...

Not a big cricket fan Melanie, we are waiting for another consultant now to see if she can go home, but they seem to be rarer than rocking horse excrement on a sunday. If Grant Thornton see this i am on a second hand iphone, purchased off ebay with christmas money.

Thanks all for good wishes, skippy she is 27 but single, she can have injections but it sets off the menopause and she may then be infertile.

I know this isnt the social pages, but i learnt something new today, both my torchlettes have had ovarian cysts , and that ovarian problems can be passed through the male side genetically speaking, and my mum had similar problems, how odd is that.

Actully Mel - it is good advice from the Consultant - for two reasons, firstly often symptoms will disappear completely during pregnancy.

2. The condition can lead on to infertility, and as the condition affects younger people having a family at a earlier stage has to be considered.

OK - I stand corrected on the medical stuff. I am sure that the consultant did not put it across in the way I read the post.

Melanie, no need to be corrected. That is how she was told, would you tell a terminal cancer patient the best treatment was to commit suicide? What happens when she isnt pregnant and the pain comes back? Get pregnant again?
