Hi all, I'm looking to move out of the place I'm renting now and into my own flat (I rent from a family friend and the property has been sold). However I know that letting agencies will do a credit check etc on me and my IVA will come up. I know that I will need a guarantor but was wondering if I could use the company I own as the guarantor.

3 years down, 2 to go - just sent off my annual review [:D]

Hi,

I have no idea whether you can use your company as guarantor, hopefully one of the experts will be along to assist with that.

You may find that you don't need a guarantor - you could get references from your IVA company and the family friend to state that you have paid the rent without any problems, and your IVA payments are up to date.
