You do need to get in touch with your IP again to make sure that it hasn't gone through.

Make sure you cancel your DD as well to the company.

Google this -- indemnity insurance+iva

comes up with quite a few insurances brokers - obviously we dont know you personal details - so depending on what you do etc - will depend on the quote

Hi all just one more question.

My IP is telling me that we have been accepted on the IVA and it is active and has been since May but I have checked the register and we are not yet on it. I don't know if they are telling the truth or not. They have said we can go back on the DMP no problem but they will have to fail the IVA but surely if we are not on the register we are not on an IVA???

It can take a few months to show on the register- the IP has to notify them. Some posters here have reported it can take months in some cases

Hi Dave.
My IVA was approved in April and I showed up on the register yesterday so it can take a while for some.

What date was your IVA meeting Dave? If it was pre May then you should be on it now.

If your IP is saying that is active then it may well be so. Are you sure you're not on the register?

I'm positive I have just checked again and my wife is not on it too.

Hello Dave,

I work at Simply Business and I would appreciate the opportunity to look into your case for you. It is standard policy with the majority of our insurers that we are unable to offer cover to a client with an IVA. However - we have recently gained the authority to look at some cases on an individual basis.

If you could please email me your full name and postcode via *email removed as per T&C of site*I will be happy to take a look.

Kind Regards

Tim

~Sorry I had to remove your email as this is not allowed, however if Dave requires it, he can contact you via adding you as a Frugal friend and you can converse that way, or admin can put him in touch with you. Apologies. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
