Hi
How did you show it last year ?
All income should be shown with the car allowance being cancelled out on the expenditure side with increased costs[fuel, servicing etc]

I am with debt matters

if you look at my other posts you will see the issues I have had.

It's been a nightmare from start to half way!

Car allowance is paid to you to ensure that you have a car available to use for business purposes, so both this and your shift allowance should be included as income. But do make sure that you have included all car related expenditure against the car allowance - including maintenance costs.

Thanks Melanie

As before I need to have a car now but can't get one for obvious reasons.

Shall I note this on the review to see if I can get permission to get one?

Thanks Again

How much are you being paid for your monthly car allowance? And what does your employer say about you not having a car?

My employer is pushing for car details, I have managed to dodge for the last year but they are updating to SAP and therefore require my car details.

Car allowance is £3400

I imagine that your employer will withdraw this allowance unless you get yourself sorted out with a car. This should never have been taken account of as income - it is there to ensure that you provide a car of suitable quality as dictated by your employer to be used for business purposes. If you choose to acquire a cheaper car, and pay the balance over to the IVA then that is a choice for you.
