just been thinking about my iva-like you do a lot.at review time could your ip take away something that was in your proposal eg.internet or cable tv or once its there do you keep it till the end of your iva. just dont want any surprises at my review even though its not for 9 months.

Hey c.j, I would have thought that it would be based on your original I&E as this was agreed at the beginning. Someone more in the know about this will confirm that's right or not, I'm sure. X

I've never heard of anyone having it taken away. There is certainly an allowance for satellite or cable tv, and I would think your internet would be ok.

As Viki says, someone in the know will say for definite.

No they dont change what they agreed were fair and essential outgoings. Its just to check youre making the correct contributions, based on the income at the start of the agreement, changes like overtime and wage increases may be affected at this time.

Your IP will review your circumstances at the end of each year and discuss any amendments with you that they feel are relevant. It would be unlikely to remove any current allowances, but if you were struggling and really wanted the IVA to continue, items like Sky TV which are luxuries might have to be considered carefully.
