Well good luck to you both, and fingers to these banks eh??? Who needs their snotty attitude and their computer says no horse ****e??? I keep all my pennies and stuff in a quality street box for the coinster when its full. You could actually kill someone with it though its that heavy. Now theres an idea for creditors calling at the door.....

I thought there might be someone coming tomorrow who would be able to help!

And to think how much interest THEY will be earning on YOUR money ... like you say Skip, ridiculous!

I never understand why there's so much aggro opening a savings account.

There's no credit on it.
There's no cheque book.
There's no credit card.

Why ??

All you do is pay in, get a little interest and that's it.

Maybe I'm simple (don't answer that one).

Who on earth is going to be laundering a few quid a month ? A few thousand I can see - or hope for !
There's light at the end of the tunnel - it's just that sometimes the tunnel seems so long.

Well I'm glad that I didn't pay £60 for a copy of my certificate of discharge as I've read today that Sainsbury's Bank's policy is to scan and destroy the certificate rather than return it! At no point was I told that when I spoke to them!

In the end I opened a Cashbuilder account with Nationwide, and an esavings account with Northern Rock this week without any problems at all.
