Hubby and I are ex smokers, and I do hate the smell of cigarettes now. Anyone coming to my house has to smoke outside, the cars are both non smoking as well.

We always smoked like chimneys in restaurants, but I am so glad that you can't anymore.

If that is your thing, then fine. I like a drink, but can't claim for it in my IVA, so don't see why smokers are able to with some companies.

Hi
My IVA is with payplan. When we did the initial I&E they asked if we smoked neither of us do but I would presume there is some sort of allowance otherwise why would they ask?

I'm just catching up with this thread...don't know how I missed it [:I]

I don't believe there should be an allowance for smoking, there's not an allowance for a drink....in our case we couldn't claim to feed the cats, so why should there be an allowance for smoking?

[:D][:D]

Payplan never asked us that at all.

We don't get an allowance for hobbies either (not that I have any other than being on here or reading, and they are library books!)

Jan, do you find payplan good? Do you get any horrible surprises at review time?

On the subject of smoking.........my mum bought herself an electric cigarette. It gives you the same kick of niccoteen in your throat as you get from a normal cigarette and you blow out vapour instead of smoke.
It cost her about £50 for the starter kit and you buy replacement tips that just screw on.
I know it sounds like a lot of money but she smokes 60 a day usually and is now down to buying only 10 a day after only a week.
Personally i think its a marvelous idea. I even had a try of it.

We've only had one review nikki - had no problems or surprises with it and our payments remained the same.

Our dogs and their insurance have been included since day one.

Hi
I am also with Payplan on complaints yet but have not had review. We were not given any allowance for hobbies but were given £10 per week for 2 cats.
