I've just been catching up with some of the messages on here about rising costs and just wondered where the extra money comes from to meet these costs - are people borrowing from family. I have found I'm working from home more often to save the petrol expense of going into the office.

We haven't got our review until November and at the moment that seems quite a way away.

Hi we are not finding the extra money from anywhere !!! so after only 5 months in my husband is having his iva looked at a viaration meeting to reduce his iva payment. This means however that his iva will be over a further 12 months .

Morning all,

With the huge increases in all costs , I will have to sleep in my car at work one night next week , because I haven't got the money for petrol.

Talk about getting tricky , and I'm only 4 months into my IVA.

No-one said it would be easy.

Keep smiling.

Please be careful - no IVA or money issue is worth you becoming ill or injured!

Why not try an speak with your IP and see if they can help.

I hope you will be okay. XX

Thanks Moneystinks.
It's only because I had to pay out for a new windscreen this month.
I know that we're all finding it hard, but we should all be proud that we are facing up to our responsibilities.
Take care too.

The fact you have had to pay for a new windscreen is in my humble opinion all the more reason to speak with your IP.

I am in an unfortunate position where I see things like this on a daily basis. People think they are safe and it turns out that they aren't - just be careful! [B)]

I hope you will be okay roll on pay day eh! [:)]

Hi Marie,

Thanks again for your concern.
I will be in a staff car park ( security gate control ).
There are showers etc. available , so it's as safe as you can get.

That's something at least....

I am hoping we don't have to take any drastic action but I do getthe impression that things are going to get tighter for everyone on a budget - happy aren't I [:D]

We will all get through and your right we should be proud. XX

To casiquebrado

I cannot have clients of mine sleeping in their car. Please deduct the cost of the windscreen from your next IVA payment and we will then discuss how that can be repaid over time. When things like this occur, you do need to pick the phone up to your IP - we really are here to help!
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Hi Melanie,

I'm wishing I hadn't posted , as I've put a negative vibe out.

This really was going to be a one-off , so I'll try to find an alternative , ie cut back on food budget .

I don't want to deduct from payment , as I want to adhere to the agreement.

IF I encounter any further problems , I will pick up the phone.

Thanks again.

Sorry Casi!

You are adhering to the agreement though. You have had a blip admitted it and are trying to overcome it without making your IVA fail. If your IP is happy then you should be.....

Sorry to have made an issue out of it! [:(]
