I think it a good idea that you advise the Ip that you are living abroad so that they are able to communicate with you - it might also be a condition of your IVA ?

You do not need to attend court personally in London but if you were not going to make the trip you will need to appoint someone to do it for you.

This could be either a solicitor or a bankruptcy specialist who understands the process. You could have a friend do this for you however it would need to be a good friend!!

In the High Court in London you can pay for the court fee on the day ( but in truth it is a little rushed and I have seen people miss the time window) and see the bankrupty clerk ( this is quite a trek) followed by a 20 minute walk to the official receivers offce for a face to face interview ( 45 - 60 minutes )

so at least if you decide to go this route you have some options

Hi vickir

i have a bad habit of not sleeping so survive on about 5 hours per night. The good thing as I am in business is that i can spend ( or at least try to ) the early evening with family eating, story telling etc etc as I have 4 daughters. then after i have done the family thing I can get another 4 hours of work done.

It is amazing how late my phone goes off as well

Four daughters and one wife! Five ladies to fight over the bathroom in the morning! No wonder you work at the end of the day. How old are all the daughters - are they at the boyfriend stage yet?

Thankyou for your advice, I think Br is the way we can go, I will have to get my husband to contact the IVA company to inform them of our move abroad god hope that is the right decision, I want to sort this out as its affecting our lives my husband seems not to be too bothered I think thats men in general. Not sure I could find someone to attend court of his behalf though thats a hard one,
