That is good Jan, its food and drink that I know I will struggle with but looks like you have is sussed. Perhaps, I will start to coko vats of chilli and freeze into portions. The one good thing I have is that my expenditure is packed with insurance, so should be able to cope with major upset. Also I have the opportunity of overtime if things get really bad.

Thats what I am hoping for as well Phil. I mean cuts can be made like you have said things like cup a soup for lunch, cutting back on electric and gas a little all helps. We have had a water meter fitted now and hope to make savings here, I even turn the tap off whilst brushing my teeth so I only use the minimum amount of water. But any saving can add up to use elsewhere. I am hoping to start selling stuff on ebay just as contingency really, I put an old towbar out the shed on last week and made £38 so we have put that aside. There is probably loads of stuff in the attic like DVD's we havnt watched for ages but £1 here and there all adds up. I am sure we will make it Phil, just know walking the dog is going to be my leisure time activity instead of going for a drive in the car.

My Gas and Electric aren't too bad. I nearly fainted when Jan said how much she was paying. She must live in a green house[:)].

I have know worries that I will not make it.

What does your wife feel about your frugal view of budgeting for housekeeping Paul?

You do seem very positive in your outlook, and if you can train yourselves to be very thrifty now, you will become great savers once the IVA has finished.

Yes, I have planned my annual finances already Em, and I can see not only money left over each month but enough for some treats along the way. Feel happier than I did when running up the debt. From reading your posts it sounds like you are pretty content with your I&E. I think once accepted, even if a little tight there is more leway at your annual review.
Still sending my positive vibes for the 2nd.

As I said before, I know it will be tough bit try to make an effort to have fun over the long weekend and then you are almost there. I know you have had grief from creditors (which I never had to deal with). Don't want to tempt fatre but how about taking the Wednesday off (3rd) and letting loose on the Bacardi. You will feel so relieved, and remember I have seen Mr Mond in action, he is like a dog with a bone and there is no way he will let us down.

Melanie, I think it would be safe to say that my wife is not as confident as me about the budget. Nethier of us wanted BR even though we have no assetts to protect. I am convinced we will make it work but there may be some scope for one of us to go BR to make things easier but I am not looking to do this at all but it is an option if things are too tight. I do really really believe we can get there, I believe the hardest thing at the moment is timing as we are currently paying council tax and water rates but we will get a break for a couple of months further in and my vies is to put these monies aside for the months you dont pay and that is then your contingency until the next break in payments. We can then use a £50 monthly contingency fund for shortfalls in any other expenses. does this make sense, I suppose in essence I am saying we can shuffle the budgest around each month to suit that months circumstances.

I was actually working from home on the original date, so could take calls. I don't think there is any real need. If it goes through ok, you will just get a phone call to say so, they will only need to speak to you if there are proposed mods, and even then it wont be a long call.
Its a bit naughty but if you are thinking of taking a day off in case of mods, it may be worthing ringing them the day before to see how the voting is going. It may be that all (or majortity) of votes are in and hence there would be no need.

I took the day off sparkly watcher. What we need to remember is not only have we got to get used to a budget but we have not also got the prividge any longer of the excesses that we have become accustimed to.
