I remember those Louisa - they remind me of the chewy indigestion tablets that you get now!

Do you remember the chocolate tools from the pick and mix? I used to love going to the corner shop and getting my little basket and filling it with penny sweets!

I used to have chocolate 'cigarettes' - sticks of choccy with rice paper on the outside. I bet you can't get those now! The ironic thing is I've never smoked, and never even tried a real cigarette!

Me too and I remember the little baskets to put the penny sweets in - ours were plastic!

Just on an entirely different train of thought - was anyone as sad as me to vote when Kelloggs changed Coco pops to Choco Krispies and there was uproar - i voted for them to go back to Coco pops!!!

you can still get those ciggies, they just don't taste as good as they used to!
I still have a stash of licorice roots too. I just get strange looks eating them outside!!

What about that horrible school coffee that they made you drink?
Meat pie and mash, followed by treacle sponge and custard mmmmmmmmm delicious!!
Midget gems, Sports mixtures and Caramac on the way home.
