Thank you everyone for all of your advice. I happened to mention my dillema to my sister today and she offered to take out a contract for me :d. I was always very wary of discussing my financial issues with her but she has been my rock since I told her about our IVA about two years ago.

I should be receiving my certificate of completion for my IVA in the next few weeks. Have been looking at a contract mobile and wondered if they are likely to accept me. Defaults won't be removed until April next year so they would show on any credit check. I think I already know the answer but have...

Just had a 'phone call from GT to say my f&f on mine and my husbands ivas has been accepted by all voting creditors. Can't describe the relief I feel that it's over after five years and five months. I never want a credit card, loan or catalogue again. It has been a valuable experience, I've learned ...

You can claim the money back via the direct debit mandate agreement. Go to your bank and tell them you'd like to do this as you hadn't authorised the company to take the money. They will sort it all out there and then and the money will instantly reappear in your account. You do need to contact GT a...

You'll be fine. The last thing that they are going to want to do is fail the IVA. I know it's really hard to believe this but it's true. GT have been great to me since the transfer and my IVA was in real danger of failing. If you're really worried give them a ring on Monday, they'll set your mind at...

My IVA was also transferred recently and it was the best thing ever. Had lots of problems with accuma, admitedly some were of mine and my husbands own doing. Long story but had been paying reduced payments for approximately 18 months but a variation meeting had never been arranged. Should have finis...

You're very welcome. As I said, him and Jenna, (the lady that you get if you ring him) are definitely staying. As Skippy says, GT have a fantastic reputation so it really is no bad thing.

Kelse, everything is going to remain exactly he same so don't panic. Letters are going to be sent as soon as they move apparently, until then it's simply just a name change. You will still have the same ip (mine's Andrew Wilkinson)so the same things should be needed for review.

Sorry, a couple of sounds missing there. Oooops, I mean letters, I work with young children.
Andy, Grant Thornton certainly seem to have a great reputation. I'm hoping that I won't have to find out as my f&f is currently being drafted hence todays phone call.
