In the Car industry, the scrappage scheme is distorting the normal take up of cars, so anything connected to that sector, it look rosy. Except, these car subsidies are the future revenues paying for the present....unwise....eating the future gains today. With the norm of UK GDP being 1.2 trillionin ...

You have people on D.M.P that will join the Insolvency list soon. So those stats from IS Exchange are incomplete. The country is skint as M and S Boss saids.Skint! I say it again. It's an unenviable position to be in debt, whether you are a government[worse],company or an individual. The 'debt trap' w...

The credit score thing is oversold like IQ test scores. If you can have a good credit score and then be in an IVA the next thing, then it means you can beat the system just by maintaining payments and show you never miss payments. The problem with the credit score system is that it can't differential...

Sorry, but opening a bank account whilst already in an IVA[insolvent] is not the same as having poor credit score and not insolvent. There is a difference. I know because I applied on the phone and the staff asked if I was insolvent.Defined as in an Iva or being bankruptcy but excluding being in a dm...

I can categorically tell anyone that if you told the Co-op you have an IVA in place, not that you are going to start one, the cash minder is the only account you will get. The 'stunt' people carry out is to apply for Bank account prior to the IVA, when the credit file shows a score. The coop does no...

If the vehicle has to be sold, then there will obviously be a problem buying a new one albeit cheaper, as we have no money for this.

I'm worried about losing my partners car as he does a 50 mile a day round trip to work so we really need to have a reliable car. I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by beneficial interest. this is all new to me. Also who would the trustee be. Sorry for being a bit thick when it comes to a...

Sorry another question. We have recently bought a car for £8000 on HP. If we went BR would we lose this car, even if we could still afford to keep up with the payments. Also we are in negative equity with our house, would we lose the house or be able to keep it?

yes i am a homeowner and at the moment we are in negative equity. Perhaps I would be better to go into an IVA, would this protect us from a charging order? The only thing that puts me off an IVA is that we only have about £200 per month DI. Also my partner is constantly earning overtime because he i...
