You see, this is one of those unintended consequences of how innocent party like yourself are affected having had a decent credit rating. It is first I heard of this, been connected to an iva person is bad to your credit health. We all need credit in one form or the other. It sucks I know.......

Submit by all means of any offer, if not, then what is option. So go for it.There has never been 100% acceptance from all iva proposals,no statistics ever published to this effect by the insolvency exchange. An ip will do its best.On my paper work like in many it saids in the event of no acceptance the...

Creditors work in mysterious ways,no acceptance criteria is ever published, henceforth no one can be sure about anything. You be telling me that 1p to the pound is also no problem. You must know something that I dont,or is it base on your religion of faith? And is it the same faith and trust that lead...

Look, even 5p to a pound is plausible offer, there are certain jobs that bankrupt people cannot get,so you do not want the iva rejected.I will be nervous with 13p to the pound as an offer but it depends on your case history and how well the case is put. Chances are the iva will be modified, maybe a few...

"Ip firms are put under pressure to investigate PPI cliams"
So Ips can't say 'No' by that definition and if saying 'No' will fall out of favour with creditors? One IVA firm even cliams by submitting to PPI cliams creditors will look favourably on debtors, now how does this actually take place??

No problem with the iva and with bank support used as a payment plan to get out of what would have been bankruptcy , I fully support this, but but comparing it with a normal loan payment is just not appropriate.Everyone will get a loan in their lifetime but not an iva,the latter can be avoided by bet...

No one is knocking the Iva,I have never knocked it,remember it used to be 3 years duration.Fact. In the usa everyone here would be bankrupt. So let us just keep things in perspective. However,a loan payment plan does not bring on neg reaction from banks and employmenta but an iva loan,if you wish to ...

Obviously, having an account closed or to have it subsituted with another bank with a basic one is not positive, the former is not the main point here so I stick to the loan and iva comparison. A three year iva is preferably as it used to be as Mel had said, but not a 5,6,....year iva now in this fana...

It is absurd to compare a five year iva payment plan to a normal 5 year loan,no more than you can compare a dolphin to a fish.I do not know what planet some people are on. When you are taking out a loan, even a mortgage you are buying something that it is normally impossible to pay cash for. Also hav...

Good reply Mel,but the UK is in bust and not in boom. There is worsen job prospects with higher taxes let us not forget that banks are in debt,a quarter of a trillion quid printed money in circulation and the private sector cannot soak up public sector job loses, even coppers will be made redundant in...
